NUCLEO has received a project grant from the Flemish government for UFO, the platform of Flemish and Brussels studio organisations.
Together with Cas-co from Leuven, De Tank from Bruges, Level Five from Brussels, MORPHO from Antwerp and Vonk from Genk/Hasselt, we will roll out an artistic development programme over the next 3 years: For and by artists: what does it mean to support artists?
It consists of
At the end of the project, there will be a publication and a public reflection moment. All this will be recorded and communicated through a new UFO website.
The programme should encourage the development of artistic practices by expanding horizons, strengthening ties in the field and building a community of peers.
The programme content will be driven by an artistic council composed by UFO members, that will change yearly. The six-member artistic council will work closely with the project coordinator and serve as an overarching selection and reflection committee. The council is also responsible for the relevance of the content and the artistic quality of the programme.
The first initiatives within the programme will be launched soon.
